Welcome to Roaring Fork High School Athletic Registration

 

Parent/Guardians, To register for RFHS Athletics, please follow the steps below to complete the Registration Process.

  

To be Eligible for RFHS Athletics:

  • Student-Athletes must be enrolled in RFHS or enrolled in an approved online program.

Students that are not attending Roaring Fork School District RE-1 must provide a high school transcript and a current class schedule.

  • All Transfers must contact RFHS Athletic Director prior to registering and within a minimum of 7 days prior to the season start. 

If you are transferring from another school please contact the athletic office at 970-384-5753 or 970-384-5757.

  • All Student-Athletes must agree to follow the RFSD High School Athletic/Activities Handbook prior to registering, please read carefully.

Important:  To register for the start of a sport season, Steps 1, and 2 must be completed prior to the first day of practice. If not, the Student-Athlete may attend practices, but may not participate until Steps 1, and 2 are completed.

Step 1: All Student-Athletes must have a current Sports Physical.
 
Athletes must have a current sports qualifying physical exam on file in the Athletics Office prior to any sports practices. Physicals are good for 12 months from the exact date of your last or current physical. You can get the blank Physical Form by clicking below.

Once you have your physical completed by a doctor, you can turn it in to the Athletic Directors office.
 
 

Step 2: Click the icon below to register for a RFHS athletic activity. 

 

(includes all forms in one).
If you are registering for a district athletic program such as boys or girls swimming, boys or girls golf,
boys lacrosse, cross country, girls softball or ice hockey, please register under the school that houses that program.

 

Important:  Once the Student-Ahtlete is registered for a sport, please plan to provide Athletic Fees and Jersey deposit prior to the first competition.

 

Step 3: Pay the Athletics Activity Fee. $125  

Athletic fees are paid for each season of competition. The $125 Athletic Fees must be paid prior to the first competition to be eligible for competition. Online payments will be available when the student athlete's account has been updated. You will be notified when payments are available to be made. Check or cash will be accepted in the main office beginning Aug 8th. Please make checks payable to Roaring Fork Highs School. Please put your child's name and sport in the memo portion of the check. We have options for paying the Athletic Fees, please contact the Athletic Director as soon as possible to arrange. If your sport makes selections, please wait until after selections and prior to your first game to make the Activity Fee payment.

Step 4: Pay the Uniform Deposit. $100

Please bring $100 uniform deposit to the office prior to your first competition. Cash or Check only. This check is a separate check fron your registration check.  No credit card payment available for this. Note: Cash or check is held as security for equipment/uniforms and is good for the school year, checks will need to be replaced each season. This check will not be cashed without prior notification. If your sport makes selections, please wait until after selections and prior to your first game to make the Uniform Deposit payment.

 

 

NOTE: All Student Team Managers must be registered.

 

All Team Managers must complete all steps, except a physical is not needed unless the manger is planning to engage in physical activities or practice. No activity fee or uniform deposit is required to be an acting Team Manager.

 

Once you complete these steps, you are registered and can participate in your activity.
